Sørlandet's annual report and accounts for 2025 are now out.
2025 was a year marked by strong activity and clear development for the Foundation The Ship Sørlandet Through both year-round operation, international school activities and extensive public traffic, Sørlandet consolidated its position as a unique maritime cultural and learning environment.
A+ World Academy completed another successful school year with a large international participation and high academic level. Summer sailings, including the Skagerrak Race and Tall Ships Races, gave the ship significant visibility and engagement regionally, nationally and internationally. Over 20,000 guests visited the ship during the year.
The foundation also continued the long-term preservation work for the world's oldest sailing full-rigged ship and began planning the ship's 100th anniversary in 2027 – an anniversary that will elevate both the history, role and relevance of the ship. Sørlandet .
The annual report summarizes the organization's most important activities, results and priorities throughout the year, and shows how the foundation works to secure Sørlandet's place as a living cultural heritage ship and a modern international learning arena.
